Infinity TSD is currently seeking highly motivated and experienced Electrical Field Service Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will perform acceptance testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical distribution systems at customer sites.

Position Summary
This position requires working knowledge of electrical distribution equipment from major manufacturers (Square D/Schneider, GE, Siemens, Eaton, ABB, etc.) and familiarity with power distribution systems. Candidates should have at least five (5) years of relevant field service experience (electrical contractor service group, OEM service group, NETA testing company, or similar).
Travel is required throughout the Carolinas and surrounding states. Work is often performed during customer outages and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. After-hours emergency response is also required.
Successful candidates are professional, respectful, and customer focused. You must be able to track travel expenses and complete monthly expense reports with receipts and documentation. Depending on location, travel can range from 25%-75%.

Requirements
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and ongoing customer-required screening as needed.
Ability to manage a busy field schedule and arrive prepared and on time.
Physical ability to lift test equipment/materials, climb ladders, work at heights (lifts/ladders), and perform occasional confined space work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
Ability to follow all Infinity TSD and customer safety procedures.
5+ years field service experience with an electrical OEM, electrical power testing company, or electrical contractor in an industrial environment (or equivalent power distribution background).
Strong knowledge of three-phase power distribution systems.
Working knowledge of low and medium voltage equipment, including switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, panelboards, circuit breakers, busway, starters/contactors, grounding systems, ground-fault systems, and protective relays.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Minimum 5 years of experience with medium and/or low voltage electrical power distribution equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in field environments.
Willingness to travel nationally over 80% of the time.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass background and drug screening requirements.
Preferred Experience:
Protection & Control / Automation:
Experience working with SEL protective relays, including using accelerator to install settings files.
Experience with SEL RTAC configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience with basic PLC configuration, including downloading, uploading, and troubleshooting programs.
Ability to troubleshoot Modbus and Modbus TCP/IP networks for industrial communication devices.
Familiarity with IEC 61850 GOOSE messaging and troubleshooting.
Power Distribution Equipment & Systems:
General knowledge of medium voltage switchgear construction, installation, startup, and troubleshooting.
General knowledge of low voltage switchboards (UL 891) construction, installation, startup, and troubleshooting.
General knowledge of low voltage circuit breakers, including power circuit breakers and molded case circuit breakers.
Ability to interpret and implement circuit breaker trip unit settings, including reading coordination studies and adjusting settings.
General knowledge of electrical power meter setup, including IP address configuration.
Preferred qualifications
Circuit breaker knowledge including maintenance, testing, troubleshooting.
Cable testing experience (VLF, hipot, tan delta, partial discharge).
Transformer oil sampling and testing (TTR, WR, PF, etc.)
Experience terminating, splicing, and testing medium voltage cable.
Mechanical service/repairs on switchgear and circuit breakers.
Power monitoring installation and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with IoT hardware and common communication protocols.
OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, and other electrical safety training (helpful; can be provided).
Working Conditions
Extensive nationwide travel to data center construction sites.
Work performed exclusively on data center projects, often in active construction or commissioning phases.
Physical requirements include standing, climbing, lifting to 50 lbs., and working around electrical equipment following strict safety protocols
